Sounds that shape us, Part 1

Ok, I’m often asked about my musical background, what inspires my sound, life and direction.

Its always been a bit ecelectic to say the least,  I was born into a family of musicians and performers but had 3 main infulencial styles in my youth,

My parents were BIG country music lovers, my brother a HUGE soul man, from Classics, Jazz funk/fusion, Northern. ( I owe so much to him)

and lastly as a young man growing up in the 80′s the electronic scene had the biggest impact to me, I was brought up as key’s being my chosen instument. (dad wanted me to go into the army band and i figured my way out was to choose piano as you never seen anyone pushing one of those around in a marching band!) Starting with a Fender Rhodes and then through all the analogue synths, the 80′s were a big part.

Its was the merger of the soul/jazz/disco and electronic came the electro days, the early acid house period and House music as a whole.

Music is life and life is music for me.

Starting with this one and in no perticular order are some of the sounds that help sculpt my life through the 80′s and i hope you enjoy them.

No Fancy mixing just straight tunes that hold a special place to me.

I dedicate this to my love, Candice.
